Unforgettable

It's been a while since my last post. I've been busy lately, forgetting things like this. So before September ends, I'd like to share my valuable experience this month.

The other day, we had our retreat. It was our last retreat because we are part of the graduating batch. We had the it at Capuchin Retreat Center in Lipa City, Batangas.

A shot made by my friend Boom.
I just got it from her tumblr account, didn't even asked permission.
Maybe I'll tell her one day. =D

We arrived at around 9 am and found that the place was really good. It was like a resort from the outside. All you'll need is a seashore or a large pool to be convinced. We were accommodated to a hall and noticed that other schools were already here having their retreat. We were oriented about the house rules by a Capuchin Brother. He's a Norwegian, our retreat master told us. Then we had our first activity. Didn't really remembered it. Maybe I wasn't really paying much attention to it.

Then lunch came and the food was awesome. I'm not picky when it comes to food but I can say that they've got a high standard. I really liked the crab and corn soup we had at lunch. I hope that they'll serve lobsters the next time we'll be there.

Aside from the amazing food, there are several young beautiful ladies, students from another school who's having their retreat at the same time, in the canteen. Honestly, I admired some of them, and they were all English speaking gals. Later the next day, I learned that they were all high school students. I was speechless after knowing that. XD

We made masks that would be used later that day and other spiritual activities prepared by the Capuchin Brothers.

And night came. We had our last activity that day. It was a group sharing, about the mask we made earlier that day. Luckily, the grouping was by-section. So our class had a chance for ourselves.

Our retreat master gave us instruction on how the flow of the sharing would be. But I think that we followed our own. Somebody sitting in the middle, others giving concerns about that someone, then the things they liked about him or her, and after that, he/she is given a chance to open a part of his/her life to the others.

When my turn came, I opened myself. I wasn't expecting most of the things they said about me. Some parts were really funny. Most concerns was really my mistake and I'm still trying my best to fix those. After listening to their concerns and the things they liked, It's my turn to speak.

I shared my life, but not most of it. They still don't know some part of me but I don't think that it mattered to them. They accepted me even I'm the worst, immature bastard anyway. I started with what life gave me since I was little. I shared all-of-my-one-sided-love-stories. Yeah, those were awfully uninteresting compared to the secrets I've learned from them.

I already got a bit of a hunch about some things they've said, but when it came from them, it seemed like a different level. I was honestly shocked. My jaw almost dropped. All I can do is put my hands down and listen to them.

* * *

And after that wonderful sharing, we had our sleep. Waked up early, prepared ourselves, had breakfast, then the photo shoot. We went out and made some unforgettable memories.

* * *

After that, we had our last activity, had a mass to celebrate the retreat. Then lunch again. =D

We went home afterwards.

During the sharing, I've forgotten to tell them how thankful I am. For the surprise they've given me during my birthday. For being a friend to someone like me. I'm very thankful to them.

So if ever you're reading this. Thank you.

Though I can't remember some of the activities, maybe because I was too sleepy to stay focused, the experience was still awesome. I really enjoyed that day, though I regret forgetting import things.

A failed panorama. XD
Wished that they just used a DSLR =P

JaBlue, Friends' Friend, Blunder, Immature, and Hermit

My very first sweet cake bought by my very
sweet friends. =D

That was very unexpected. It really caught me off-guard. This was the very first time someone made an effort and surprised me with a cake and a present I could not buy myself. I can't even explain what I felt at that moment when they surprised me. I didn't know what to say. I can't even speak about what I feel. The warmth I felt, when I saw their wide smiles, is so relaxing, calming. All I did was smile. If I wasn't a hard, cold hearted bastard, I would have cried. That was really the first time, I've experience the warmth of friendship. I was wrong all this time. for thinking that this year was insignificant. It was me who made this year suck. But thanks to them, I've now got a very precious memory. Friends that I'll treasure 'til the end of  time. Thank you Lord for giving me a wonderful chance to be with them. =D

During my birthday, a big blunder happened. The girl, whom I've mentioned before was the friend of my friend's friend. If you don't get that part, read it again XD. So, my friends were joking me that they'll ask her, the girl whom I adore, to record a video of her, greeting me a "happy birthday". It's like some sort of a greeting video.

I was jokingly laughing with the thought, thinking that something like that won't happen. Seriously, I don't even think that they were serious about that. The blunder happened when we were walking across the schools lobby. My friend suddenly spotted his friend who was also her friend. I suddenly realized what would happen in the next few moments, so I hurriedly got out of the scene. I went to the food-court, where our other friends are staying, nervously waited for the outcome of that blunder.

Then my friend came, insanely smiling. And I knew it, his blunder was a success. That wasn't part of the plan. I didn't even thought that it was possible, or that they were even serious.

Yes, I'm seriously thinking of it as a blunder 'coz that's totally a mistake. Don't know if I'd be happy now that I've got a video seeing her smiling, or sad 'coz it would increase my shyness, that I won't be able to face her.

* * *

The next day, after the post-birthday-celebration prepared by my friends, me and my friends stayed at the food-court. Suddenly, from a distance, I saw her coming, together with her friends. Good thing my friend, who did the blunder, didn't notice them coming. Everything was fine 'til my friend decided to buy a food from a stall where they are staying. He saw them, and again, I've got a feeling of what's coming.

It's our lovely professor who made it. She called them out, she and her friend, who was her students before. That was pretty ridiculous. Can't help but hide my face. I almost sob. It's the most embarrassing moment of my life so far. I would really never have a girlfriend in this part of my life. The whole time they were teasing me, she was standing there. I dunno, maybe she's laughing at me or at the situation we're in. I wasn't looking. I was too embarrassed. I acted like a child. So immature.

But all I know is I won't really have the courage to face her. I'm such a dumbass. Though that embarrassing experience would be another treasure that I'll always remember 'til the end of time.

* * *

Those experience I've had didn't let me sleep last night. I woke up at around 4 AM and everything that happened that day came running in my mind. No choice but to get up early.

* * *

This morning, I've found out that one of my hermit crab died. I dunno when exactly. But the other was able to transfer to the former's shell. It's a bit sad. Rest in peace Hermit.

To whoever you are, who stumbled upon this post, and was able to read it, I don't mind if you find me dumb. Hahaha. Well, I don't really mind what you think. Haha. Anyway, thanks!
